Dr Prem Kumar Singuluri is a philosopher, poet, writer, artist, speaker, director and researcher. He raised in an aesthetic atmosphere by his parents Dr. S. Surya Rao and Ms. S. Maruthi Devi who by themselves are writers by hobby. His poems are written in Telugu and are known for their use of simple and conversative language with native idioms. He began writing poetry at a very young age when he was a student. The phrases used in his poetry are on nature, women is heart wrenching and on social problems is revolutionary. The themes he has chosen are drawn from every day life like the downtrodden, poor, exploited, workers. He is known for maintaining rhetoric beauty in “Anthya Prasa” is amazing. His poems discuss the subjects of beauty, political satires, wisdom and morality. He is affectionately called among his friends “Aasu Kavi” for his instantaneous poetry recited as per the situation. This is impromptu. He is an active participant in literary and cultural programmes. He believes that literature is the medium which ignites the thought among the readers to focus on contemporary issues. The collection of his poems were published in a book titled “Prema Bhavana” He a recipient of various awards for his cultural contributions and his write-ups and poetic presentations. Dr. Prem Kumar Singuluri, authored books on short stories. He penned host of short stories, literary criticism and on various genres. Most of his short stories present the student emotions, psychological characters, adventures, failure and success stories. He inspires the readers and creates hyper tense in them to make a goal set.. The under lying message “Aim High – Low aim is Crime” inspires the student community. The punch of dialogues moves the readers and makes them retrospective. He is a lyricist and composer. He has composed many songs and got them recorded in various recording theatres. Most of his songs are on students, parents and feel of love. Dr. Prem Kumar Singuluri, is an active, creative stage director, who nurtures the inherent hidden histrionic skills of students. The positive strength is, he scripts and directs - hence its outcome is very near to his imaginations and attracts audience. He not only directs skits, dramas, mimes but also composes folk songs. Being an artiste and dancer, he captures the graceful dance moments of danceules and presents to audience with clear expressions. He is a chirographer by nature who presents before the audience his ideas in an effective way. Most of his directions are with fun, entertainment and satirical on social and political events. He presents the skits with reality, less makeup and low cost of production. He received awards and appreciations for his directions from various cultural and student organizations.
